Our fruit trees are barerooted and will be dormant when you receive them in the spring. Our trees are about 4-6 feet tall, most do not have any branches, some that have branches will only be few inches long on the tree. We offer both Semi- Dwarf trees and dwarf trees.
Semi- Dwarf: Fully mature semi-dwarf trees are 12-20 feet tall. It is a free-standing tree that needs no support. Trees should be planted about 10-12 feet apart.
Dwarf: Full size dwarf tree will need permanent support. Tree may be individually staked (anchoring a tree to a sturdy, vertical stake (ex. a T post or metal post) with flexiable ties) or on a trellis system. Full mature dwarf tree will be 8-10 feet tall.
We only ship our trees in the months of March-May. You are welcome to order trees anytime, but we can only offer them for shipping/ pick up during these months. When you check out your cart you will have the option to select if you would like to pick up at Wafler Nursery or have the trees shipped to your door (shipping is a flat rate of $50). You will also have the option to select what week between March-May you would like to receive your trees.
When it is time to ship your order of trees, we will ship them to you in a large carboard box with the trees tied together and the roots will be stored in a bag to keep the roots moist during shipping. Once your order is packed, we will send you shipping confirmation.
Once you receive your trees, we highly recommend planting your trees right away. Please refer to our “Planting Instructions” for more information under our “Resource” tab on planting your trees.
